Winter in Labrador is a time for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing and ice-fishing. There are groomed trails for skiing and snowmobiling, or you can take to the back country for an endless adventure.

Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling in Labrador is like no other snowmobiling experience! Starting as early as November in Western Labrador, snowmobiling in Labrador can be as recreational or as hardcore as you desire. Labrador boasts beautifully manicured and maintained groomed trails throughout parts of the region, while endless hills and powder allows your off-trail adventure to be like no other. There are licensed Snowmobile Clubs which can help you plan your adventure along the way.

Cross Country Skiing
Beginning in early November in Labrador West and by late December in the coastal regions, cross country skiing in Labrador is phenomenal! Ski clubs vary in experience and services. Labrador West offers a world class experience with more than 25 years of know-how and 25 km in groomed trails to challenge the avid skier. While Coastal Labrador offers a modest 5 km groomed trail with facilities, it can boast breathtaking coastal views and kilometres of prime backcountry skiing opportunities.

Snowshoeing
Labrador's untamed, wide open country offers limitless opportunities for snowshoers. Experienced snowshoers can pick their own paths to travel, while cross country ski facilities offer groomed trails for a relaxed experience. Snowshoeing can start as early as November and last until April in most parts of Labrador.
