This new Central Labrador annual event, the Destination Labrador Trapline Marathon is run in honor of the many trappers that left North West River and trekked inland to tend to their traplines throughout the region. The event is unique, heritage oriented, a challenging run and offers great scenic views. This chip timed and certified event provides 42.2 kilometers to reflect in solitude while having some fun, including great prizes and social events!

A special event planned during the Annual SnoBreak Winter Festival in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. This multi-stage cache placed by local geocachers Volange and Mr. Popcorn is a great outdoor activity for festival goers. Geocachers participating in this event enjoyed a nice day of outdoor fun and a chance to win a special prize. The event was made possible by the generous partnership of Destination Labrador. Check back here once again next year during SnoBreak 2009 for the official release of the cache coordinates.
