Labrador Heritage Museum

Museums & Historic Places
The Labrador Heritage Museum welcome you to explore their museum, craft shop, tea room and historic town: North West River, the oldest community in Central Labrador. From its beginnings, North West River has been a cultural meeting place for the Innu, Inuit, Metis and Settler people of Labrador.
The historic facilities unveil the story of the Grenfell Mission, the trapper lifestyle, Mina Hubbard and the Hudson Bay Company and the role each played. The Museum is operated by the Labrador Heritage Society, a non profit volunteer organization. The purpose of the Society is to collect, protect and preserve the history and traditional culture of Labrador and its people.
