Labrador Coastal Drive

Labrador Coastal Drive is a spectacular driving route on the south coast of Labrador, crossing ancient headlands high above sea level, dipping down long slopes and meandering into sheltered bays to reach settled communities.
There are 21 communities within the Labrador Coastal Drive region. Most were established as permanent fishing communities in the early 1800s, while the history of seasonal used by French, English, Breton and Basques dates back to the 16th century.
