Makkovik’s Easter Games begin on the harbor and include snowmobile races, pulling-by-hand snowmobiles, running races, 3-legged soccer game, piggy back rides, a barefoot running race across the harbor - and all of these exciting events take place on ice and snow in the harbor. The annual event also includes their annual Easter dog sled race – with the drawing of names out of a hat to see who gets to go as a passenger. There are also a number of events that are held inside, along with fabulous meals being served.
