Churchill Falls Tours

A world class engineering feat, the Churchill Falls hydro generating facility is the second largest underground power station in the world. Located in the western region of Labrador, the Churchill Falls power station has the capacity to generate 5,428 MW of power, and supplies power to regions in Labrador, Quebec and the eastern United States. Tours of the hydro facility are available three times a day - 9:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. year round. Tours must be booked in advance by calling the Town Office at (709) 925-3335, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Or contact Karen Noel (709 925-3431 or Vanessa Hefler (709) 925-3299 after hours or weekends. Tours are approximately 3 hours in duration and are free of charge. Please note that all guests must be over the age of 8 (must have source of identification such as medical card, birth certificate, etc.); and all guests over 18 will also require photo identification.
