Central Labrador is often referred to as the "hub" of Labrador. Home to 5 Wing Goose Bay airbase and the Goose Bay Airport. It provides transportation connections to all other regions and is home to most government and business services.

With a proud history and a rich heritage, this region offers visitors many opportunities to experience local traditions and folklore of its native peoples. It also provides a wide variety of hotels, B&Bs, and restaurants.

This region has four communities, clustered in Hamilton Inlet:

• Happy Valley-Goose Bay
• Mud Lake
• North West River
• Sheshatshiu
