All travellers to Labrador will gain a new appreciation of our history, cultures and traditions that are presented at numerous historic sites and places.
Point Amour Lighthouse was constructed in the 1850s to serve a new steamship route between Canada and Europe. The historic lighthouse -- the tallest in Atlantic Canada -- is still operational, and has been partly restored to the 1850s period. Extensive exhibits portray the maritime history of the region.
